Sin Has Been Defeated

“For the wages of sin is death, but the undeserved gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23)

Pastor Frey reminded us very well in today’s Good Friday sermon that Jesus won the battle over sin, death and the power of the devil by his death on the cross. Why did Jesus come?

It was because of his love for sinners like us who deserve only the punishment of eternal death in hell. Good Friday and Easter are two great reminders of God’s perfect plan to save us. Jesus’ perfect death on the cross on Good Friday was God’s gift to us so that the payment for all our sins would be met and fulfilled. Jesus’ resurrection on Easter tells us that everything for our salvation is true and now complete. May the reminders of this Good Friday and Easter fill you with eternal peace and joy. Both Pastor Frey and myself pray that God will give each of you and your families a very blessed Easter.

Important News About Our Worship Service Recordings

Good Friday Worship Recording:

We wanted to get information out to you today concerning the original recording of the Good Friday service. First of all we apologize for the severe hum or static during the original Good Friday Worship Service. We feel that we have remedied this problem and do not foresee that we will have this issue moving forward.

We did try to fix the recording we made this morning as best we could and you will now see a new service on our YouTube page labeled: “Improved Audio -- Good Friday Worship 4-10-20”. While we know that this "fixed" recording is not quite the quality that we would like, it is much better than the original. We thank you for your patience as we work together through this new normal in our Worship lives. We would rather be worshiping together in person with all of you, but isn’t it wonderful that God has given us this technology so we can still gather around his Word. If you still are having issues with future recordings, please let us know so that we can try to fix the problems.

Special Easter Service:

Sunday at 6:00 pm, there will be a synod wide Easter Livestream service. What a wonderful way for us to “walk together” as a synod as we gather to worship our risen Lord and Savior. You can access this service at: https://wels.net/synodwide-holy-week-messages/

We are here to serve you! Please reach out to us and we'll be happy to answer any questions you might have.
