Bytes of Bread

For at one time we ourselves were also foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by many kinds of evil desires and pleasures, living in malice and jealousy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward mankind appeared, he saved us—not by righteous works that we did ourselves, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and the renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs in keeping with the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:3-7 - EHV)

So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is present with me. I certainly delight in God’s law according to my inner self, but I see a different law at work in my members, waging war against the law of my mind and taking me captive to the law of sin, which is present in my members. What a miserable wretch I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?  I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord!  (Romans 7:21-25 - EHV)

“Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be overwhelmed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you.  I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”  Isaiah 41:10 - EHV

Therefore the Lord himself will give a sign for all of you.  Look! The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son and name him Immanuel.  Isaiah 7:14 - EHV
