(920) 733-1307 church.office@stjohn-appleton.org Weekly Worship: Sundays 8 am & 10:00 am Mondays 6:30 pm

The members of St. John sincerely welcome all our guests.  We pray that through the Word of God your faith will be strengthened in Jesus your Savior and that you may grow in your knowledge of his love and work for you as his dearly loved child. If you have no church home right now or are looking for a new one, we invite you to become part of our church family.  Here are some answers to questions to help you get a little more familiar with us.

What should I expect when visiting St John Lutheran?

We understand it can be intimidating to come to worship for the first time at a church you have never been to before. So we have provided a little bit of information to help you understand what to expect.

There are many different aspects of our worship services including: singing, Bible readings, prayers, and a sermon. An outline of the service is printed in the bulletin you will receive when you come in to help you follow along in our hymnal.

Feel free to dress however you want! You’ll find worshipers at St. John wear everything from suits to casual attire.

God tells us “Let the Children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these” Matthew 19:14. We welcome and encourage children to join their parents in worship. Our worship services are designed so that God’s children of all ages are able to follow along. We also offer up two sitting rooms (one off of the entryway and the other in the basement) for those who need to spend some time alone with their young child. You’ll be able to see and hear the worship service from both of these rooms.

Feel free to sit wherever you’d like, whether the front, the back, or even up in the balcony. If you need assistance an usher will gladly help you.
